This Refund & Returns Policy applies to all purchases made through the Opovic Computers Technologies Limited (“Opovic,” “we,” “us”) website and online store in Nigeria. By placing an order, you agree to the terms below.


1. Definitions

  • Customer: Any individual or business purchasing goods from our website.
  • Goods: Any computer, accessory, peripheral, software, or related item sold through our e-commerce platform.
  • Defective Goods: Items that arrive damaged, faulty, or not as described.
  • Return Window: The period during which a Customer may request a return or refund, as defined below.

2. Eligibility for Returns

  1. Timeframe
    • You have seven (7) days from the date of delivery to request a return or refund for any non-defective Goods.
    • For Defective Goods, you have fourteen (14) days from delivery to report the defect and initiate a return or exchange.
  2. Condition of Goods
    • Goods must be unused, unassembled (if applicable), and in their original packaging, including all accessories, cables, manuals, warranties, and original tags or seals.
    • Products showing signs of physical damage, misuse, alteration, or that are missing parts (excluding manufacturing defects) will not be accepted for return.
  3. Proof of Purchase
    • You must provide your original order number, invoice, or receipt when requesting a return or refund.

3. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned or refunded, except in cases of manufacturing defects:

  • Software with opened security seals (e.g., sealed operating systems, certain licensed software).
  • Consumables and consumable accessories (e.g., printer ink/toner, cleaning kits).
  • Custom-built or specially configured PCs, once assembly has begun.
  • Items marked “Final Sale,” “Clearance,” or “Non-Returnable” on the product page.

4. Return & Refund Process

  1. Initiate a Return Request
    • Email support@opovicomputers.com or call 08093060000 within the applicable Return Window.
    • Provide:
      • Your name and contact information
      • Order number and date of purchase
      • Product name and model/serial number
      • Brief description of the reason for return (e.g., “arrived damaged,” “ordered wrong model,” “not as described”)
  2. Return Authorization
    • We will respond within 48 hours with a Return Authorization (RA) number and return instructions.
    • Do not ship any Goods back before receiving an RA number; unauthorized returns may be refused or incur additional fees.
  3. Packaging & Shipping
    • Re-pack the item exactly as you received it, using adequate padding to prevent damage in transit.
    • Include all original accessories, manuals, and packing materials.
    • Clearly write the RA number on the outside of the package.
    • Ship via a reputable courier (e.g., DHL, GIG Logistics, UPS) and obtain a tracking number.
    • You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to a manufacturing defect or our error.
  4. Inspection & Approval
    • Once we receive and inspect the returned Goods, we will notify you within three (3) business days whether your return has been approved or rejected.
    • If Goods fail inspection (e.g., used, missing parts, damaged by customer), we reserve the right to refuse the return or deduct a restocking fee of up to ₦5,000 from your refund.

5. Refunds & Exchanges

  1. Refund Method
    • Approved refunds for defective Goods or Seller’s error will be issued in full to the original payment method (e.g., card payment, bank transfer).
    • For returns due to buyer’s remorse (e.g., ordered wrong model), we will issue a refund minus return shipping costs and any restocking fees.
    • Refunds typically process within 7–10 business days after we approve the return and receive the Goods.
  2. Exchanges
    • If you request an exchange for a different model or configuration, we will ship the replacement once we receive the returned item and confirm it meets our return criteria.
    • If the replacement costs more than the original item, you must pay the price difference before shipment.
    • If the replacement costs less, we will refund the price difference following the same refund schedule.
  3. Partial Refunds
    • Partial refunds may apply in cases where accessories or components are missing from the returned Goods.
    • We will notify you of any deductions before issuing the partial refund.

6. Warranty-Related Returns

  1. Manufacturer’s Warranty
    • Many of our products include a manufacturer’s warranty (e.g., 12 months on laptops, 6 months on accessories).
    • For defects covered by manufacturer’s warranty, please contact us at support@opovicomputers.com or call 08093060000.
    • We will guide you through the warranty claim procedure with the manufacturer or service center.
  2. Opovic Extended Warranty
    • If you purchased an extended warranty plan from Opovic, follow the plan’s terms for repair or replacement.
    • Extended warranty claims must include proof of purchase and warranty certificate.

7. Cancellations & Order Modifications

  1. Before Shipment
    • You may cancel or modify your order free of charge up until the time we ship the Goods.
    • Email support@opovicomputers.com immediately with your order number and requested change.
  2. After Shipment
    • Once your order is in transit, it is subject to our standard Return & Refund Policy above.
    • Any cancellation after shipment will be treated as a return; return shipping costs and restocking fees (if applicable) will apply.

8. Shipping Costs

  • Outbound Shipping (to You):
    • Standard shipping is free on orders over ₦50,000 within Nigeria.
    • For orders under ₦50,000, a flat shipping fee of ₦2,500 applies.
  • Return Shipping (from You):
    • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective or incorrectly shipped by Opovic.
    • If a courier picks up a Defective item, we will arrange and cover the pick-up fee.

9. Consumer Rights under Nigerian Law

  • Under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act (FCCPA) 2018, customers have the right to receive goods of acceptable quality and condition, as described at the point of sale.
  • You may file a complaint with the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) if you believe your consumer rights have been violated.
  • This policy does not limit any statutory rights you may have under Nigerian law.
